DC VA MEDICAL CENTER

I’ve spent my share of time in military hospitals, as a twice wounded solider during the Vietnam War and later as a medical photographer. I can relate first hand to the challenges faced by patients and staff. Now, as a fine art photographer, I commit a large portion of my time to working with hospitals across the country to enhance the healthcare environment with visuals and images that soothe and inspire. So, the Around Team loaded up its camera gear and a new pair of waterproof hiking shoes and headed off to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. (read more)

WATER PROOF SHOES

I love the outdoors but I’ll admit I’m not much of a rugged outdoorsman. I think it has to do with the years I spent trudging through the jungles of Vietnam. Been there. Done that. Got the t-shirt. Give me a nice comfortable bed and a hot shower any time. So when an opportunity arose to photograph Smoky Mountain National Park I agreed with some conditions. No camping, no massive backwoods hikes, and no bears. It’s not like I’m afraid of bears. (read more)
